Telepathic Humans – Just A Myth?
February 3rd, 2010
Telepathy – When we call a person telepathic’ what do we really mean? And why do many people not think that telepathy even exists? Many people just dismiss the idea as a science fiction or even mysticism. However, everyday we live with lap tops, TV’s and cell phones where information is retrieved from invisible radio waves in the air. People travel daily in jets regularly and anyone can command a glowing fire from a cigarette lighter.
Magic and advanced technology, it is said, are indistinguishable from each other. But the use of technology and science have been used to learn things about the world around us. And we’ve accomplished what was once thought of as being impossible, a few centuries ago. Think of space flights and the first man walking on the moon. There is also the exploration of the deepest parts of the ocean which was only possible using recent technology. Energy can now be created from natural sources, water, wind and the sun. And don’t forget the cell phone, which gives us the ability to speak with anyone, worldwide.
Is it then really too much of a stretch to accept the possibility of telepathic people? An individual who developed these mental properties would just be misunderstood by most people.
The scientific investigation of Telepathic people falls under the area of paraphysics or parapsychology. The people who investigate it, paraphysicists or parapsychologists, try hard to use experiments and the scientific method to answer questions about telepathy, whether or not they like the answers they find.
Telepathic individuals and who are subjects of these experiments, produced results completely tantalizing and less than desired to be proven scientifically. To do this you must have results that are consistent, measurable and repeatable. However, scientific investigation is not perfect. Although the results have been inconsistent and not always able to be duplicated does not in itself prove that individuals are not Telepathic. It only really proves we have lots to learn and a need for more advanced procedures to be developed for testing for telepathy.
But how could humans really be Telepathic? How can people communicate without the use of their five senses, using only thought alone? The obvious answer is through some means that we can’t hear, see, smell, taste, or touch, but that exists nonetheless. On the one hand, humans can already do this artificially using communication technology. Radio waves can’t be observed with our five senses, but they definitely exist.
Many scientists are now investigating the concept of ‘thought waves’? These are possibly electrical or magnetic fields generated by the brain and these have been scientifically proven to exist. Explaining this in terms for the average person might be a little difficult, but stay with us.
The thoughts of a human is a biochemical process. The process of nervous impulse being transferred from one neuron to another. This transfer of nervous impulses creates an electrical current – minute, but it can be measured. This current generates a very small magnetic field where the brain has thousands of these synapses firing.
Can humans use these bio-magnetic and bio-electric fields to communicate? Are the magnetic and electrical waves carrying content or is it meaningless static? Can mental training control brain waves? Meditation, controlled thoughts, can these techniques possibly be used in shaping brain waves, like these, into significant communication?
Another problem is the weakness of the electrical or magnetic field. It can easily be drowned out by the electrical and magnetic fields of everyday technology i.e stereos, televisions, computers, even microwaves and refrigerators all send out much larger electrical and magnetic fields.
There are, however, problems with the electrical and magnetic fields. Unfortunately these fields can be overpowered by everyday technology. For example the microwave, television, refrigerator. These everyday items produce much larger magnetic fields and electrical fields. Is it possible to reach the brains magnetic and electrical fields during an emotionally heightened state, fear, pain or shock? During these emotionally charged times, in the brain, a spiking of bio-magnetic and bio-electric activity is created by neuron synapses firing.
Researchers of parapsychology have documented brief instances of Telepathic communication during such moments. A mother knowing instantly that their child has been hurt, for example, even though they are miles away. Is there a link between such brain chemistry activity spikes and instances of telepathic communication? Does the fact that the two people are genetically related play a role? Or is it all just a coincidence?
Unfortunately, there is not enough scientific evidence at the moment to prove that telepathy is a fact beyond doubt, as far as mainstream science is concerned. However this is gradually changing as more and more studies are showing that telepathic communication really does exist and with the right training, all humans can learn to become telepathic.
